President Carter

History is increasingly kind to this gentle man from Georgia.

Folks that attribute inflation woes and military meekness to his leadership are limited to the sound bites from the Reagen media machine.

Think if we had followed a few of his principles:

* A strictly conservative money policy
* Bold environment investments
* A balanced hand in Israeli-Arab questions
* A focus on International participation (Panama Canal) vs Int'l Domination

Now we find ourselves bankrupt after years and years of loose money. Our Energy Policy (ie mass transit and collective fuel efficiency) has made minimal if any advances. We have sold our collective empire's soul to the Israeli lobby and have paid the awesome price associated. We have been transformed from a benevolent giant with moral authority to an aggressive bully on the International stage.
