April 25, 2008 -- A stash of Iranian mortars, rockets and explosives have been unearthed in Iraq - further proof that Tehran has been sending weapons across the border, it was reported today.
The cache of weapons, which the US military will publicly announce in the next few days, had date stamps showing they were made within the past two months, according to The Wall Street Journal. Military officials told the paper the weapons prove that, despite Iran's denials, it is continuing its support of Shiite militants in Iraq.
